The interview prep I wish someone had handed me.
Procurestart gives procurement and sourcing professionals the real questions, the scoring rubric, and the pay data to land the next role in hard tech.
About Procurestart
Global Supply Manager interviews at EV, space, defense, and robotics companies test a specific set of skills: building a cost position from first principles, moving a price with it, managing a supplier through a crisis, and holding a target while every other function pulls in a different direction. Most candidates have done those things. Most of them still lose the offer, because nobody showed them how the answers are scored.
Procurestart fixes that. Every question here comes from real sourcing loops. Every model answer is graded on the five-criteria rubric group managers use when they decide who advances. Pay bands come from employer-posted ranges, by level and city, so you walk into the comp conversation knowing the number. Start with the free 50-question guide; move to Starter when you have an interview on the calendar.

I'm Chris. I have spent fourteen years in automotive, EV, and heavy-vehicle supply chain, first in cost analysis and purchasing at a heavy-vehicle manufacturer, where I negotiated supplier agreements in the hundreds of millions of dollars a year, and then in electric vehicles as a Global Supply Manager and group manager.
As a GSM I have managed more than $1B in annual spend end to end and delivered eight-figure annual savings on a single portfolio while the volume under it grew more than 50 percent a year. As a group manager I built a sourcing team from a blank org chart, ran the interview loops, and developed people who have since been promoted into senior and lead GSM roles. I led supplier readiness through two high-volume vehicle launches, which is where most of the crisis content on this site comes from.
I have been the candidate and I have been the person deciding who gets the offer. The rubric I score answers with here is the one I used on real candidates. I'm still working in the industry, so this site stays strictly separate from my day job: no employer data, no supplier names, and pay figures only from public postings.
