Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Procurest collects when you use procurest.com and Procurestart, why, who processes it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because the practice is short: we collect what we need to deliver what you asked for, and we do not sell it.
Who we are
Procurest and Procurestart are brands of Iceberg Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "us"). Contact: chris@procurest.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Email address and, optionally, your name when you subscribe to the newsletter or download the free guide.
- Payment and billing details when you purchase a subscription or product. These are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We see your name, email, the plan you bought, and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Anything you send us by email, including interview answers you ask us to review.
- Information you enter in the free scoring and chat tools, if and when they are available. Those run in your browser session; we do not store the answers you type unless you send them to us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location by country or region, device and browser type. We use privacy-focused analytics that do not use cross-site tracking cookies and do not build individual profiles.
- Email engagement: our email platform records whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, which we use to understand what content is useful.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses and request data for security and performance, retained briefly.
How we use it
- To deliver what you signed up for: the guide, the newsletter, your subscription content, and any product you bought.
- To process payments, issue receipts, handle refunds, and manage your subscription.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To understand which content is useful so we can improve it.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms:
- beehiiv (email list, newsletter sending, subscriber management)
- Stripe (payments, subscriptions, receipts, customer portal)
- Cloudflare (website hosting, DNS, security)
- Google Workspace (email correspondence)
- A privacy-focused analytics provider (aggregate site statistics)
Each of these may store data in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Cookies
procurest.com uses only the cookies and local storage needed for the site to work, such as remembering a dismissed banner or a members access code on your own device. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe sets cookies on its checkout pages for fraud prevention; those are governed by Stripe's policy.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in the footer of every message. Transactional emails about your paid subscription (receipts, renewal notices) continue while the subscription is active.
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing chris@procurest.com. We will respond within 30 days.
- Cancel a subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal link in your receipt, or by emailing us.
If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR, and our legal basis for processing is performance of a contract (delivering what you bought or subscribed to) and legitimate interest (running and improving the service).
Retention
We keep your email subscription data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Payment records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, typically seven years. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you.
Children
Our services are for working professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We use reputable providers with industry-standard security, limit who can access your data to the people who need it, and never store payment card numbers. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the effective date and, for material changes, email subscribers. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
