Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of procurest.com, the Procurestart newsletter and products, and any Procurest advisory engagement. By subscribing, purchasing, or using the site, you agree to them. Plain English is used throughout; where it matters legally, the plain English is the intent.
1. Who we are
Procurest and Procurestart are brands of Iceberg Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Procurest," "we," "us"). Contact: chris@procurest.com.
2. What we provide
- Free content: the blog, the free interview guide, and the free newsletter.
- Procurestart Starter: a paid subscription that includes the members question bank, the premium weekly issue, per-employer pay data, and negotiation scripts, as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Content is added over time; the specific items available on any given day may differ from the description, but we will not remove the core components while you are subscribed.
- Other products such as Pro, Loop Ready, playbooks, and live mock interviews, each as described at the point of sale.
- Procurest advisory services for companies, governed by a separate written engagement agreement that takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.
3. Educational content, not guarantees
Everything we publish is educational material based on professional experience and publicly available information. It is not legal, financial, tax, or employment advice, and it is not a guarantee of an interview, an offer, a salary, or any career outcome. Model answers are illustrative composites. Salary figures come from publicly posted ranges and are not offers of employment. You are responsible for how you use the material.
Procurest is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any employer, including any company named on the site, and we do not use any employer's confidential information.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose, at the price shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.
- For annual plans, we will send a reminder email before each renewal.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A price change takes effect at your next renewal after the notice period; you can cancel before then.
- Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your location.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal (linked in your receipt and renewal emails) or by emailing chris@procurest.com. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access through the end of the period you have paid for.
- 14-day money-back guarantee: if Starter is not useful to you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. This applies to your first purchase of a subscription, not to renewals.
- One-time products (playbooks, Loop Ready) are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have not yet attended a live session; after a live session is delivered, the fee for that session is non-refundable.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
6. Your account and access
Members content is for your personal use. Access codes and member links are issued to you individually; do not share them. We may suspend access for sharing, scraping, or redistributing members content, and in that case no refund is owed.
7. Intellectual property
All content on procurest.com and in our products, including questions, model answers, rubrics, guides, scripts, and data compilations, is owned by Iceberg Ventures LLC or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own career preparation. You may not copy, republish, sell, or redistribute it, train a model on it, or use it to build a competing product. Short quotations with attribution for commentary are fine.
If you send us an interview answer or story for scoring, you keep ownership of it and give us permission to use it, anonymized, to improve our content and tools. Tell us if you do not want that and we will not.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the site or products to do anything unlawful, to interfere with the service, to attempt to access other users' data, or to misrepresent your identity. Do not submit anyone's confidential or proprietary information to us.
9. Third-party services
Payments are processed by Stripe and email is delivered by beehiiv, each under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their services, but we will help you resolve any issue that involves them.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any content is complete or current.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Iceberg Ventures LLC and its members, managers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost employment, arising out of your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the content.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at chris@procurest.com and give us 30 days to resolve it. Any dispute that is not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court where eligible.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to subscribers or by notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, cancel before they take effect.
